What time that is depends on your time zone. In Springfield, Massachusetts, for example, it's exactly full at 2:10 p.m. on Aug. 10. In Springfield, Oregon, the time difference makes it 11:10 a.m., also on the 10th.'

(25,687 posts)I watched it sail across the sky most of the night because I couldn't sleep. Fast-moving typhoon clouds of all kinds, from wispy white scarves to dark gray blankets raced beneath that bright moon, covering and revealing in a nocturnal strip tease. The strong cool wind tossed around the bamboo blinds outside my mother-in-law's kitchen so violently that the sensor safety light kept going on, as if the wind were a burglar. Everyone in the house was asleep, the town dark and quiet. It was me and that moon. I half expected Count Dracula to appear in his fancy evening wear -- "The spider spinning his web for the unwary fly. The blood is the life, Mr. Renfield." I've seen that movie too many times.
