http://rt.com/news/183732-isis-denmark-jihad-security/The Islamic State has declared Denmark an enemy of Islam and the country is on the militant organizations radar. This is according to a Danish-Turkish jihadist, who only gave his name as OA and previously fought for the organization in Syria.
The 27 year-old, who was born and raised in Denmark says The Islamic State, who was previously known as ISIS, has become very international and Denmark is high up on the list, believe me, speaking to the Danish broadsheet newspaper, Politiken.
Denmark is not my country. The Muslims country is the caliphate and inshallah there will soon be an attack here. Denmark should prepare itself, the militant added as cited by The Local.
It is an open war now. ISIS has said that all infidels should be battled. They should be eliminated and soon it will be Denmarks turn, OA continued.

They made some serious mistakes.

(101,311 posts)and since he was born in Denmark, and the interview was with a Danish paper, he wanted to paint himself at the centre of what he sees as a glorious struggle. Denmark will be no more 'extinct' than the USA.

IS is not a threat to western civilization. Not even close.

(41,205 posts)And ISIS are not in the slightest interested in how other countries treat immigrants. I don't know whether you've been reading Melanie Phillips' Eurabia paranoia, or some equivalent nuttery in the opposite direction; but either way it's inaccurate.

(41,205 posts)Nonsense! Countries don't become 'extinct' so easily. Denmark needs, like everyone else, to watch out for its security; but it is, I would say, in far less basic danger of extinction than most countries, with a much better developed economy and social system. If it starts fretting about 'going extinct', it will be doing exactly what the likes of ISIS want it to do! And I am sure that they have the sense not to do so.
Curious - you speak of the 'Denmark we knew': do you actually know Denmark? Have you been there?
And taking rt.com seriously- really!!

(28,762 posts)and then the bj. So they put in shrub, economy goes to hell and we're at war all over the middle east. People get fed up watching their life savings going down the drain and our soldiers were coming home in body bags. So they put in Obama, economy goes back up, peoples life savings grow and we pull out troops and bring them home. We even kill Osama bin Laden. Now the propaganda starts on how democrats are weak on the war against terrorism. It's Groundhog Day every election.

Danish security forces in Iraq, struggling with temperatures of about 50 degrees Celsius, are prepared for the worst - even a blizzard.
The almost 400 soldiers from the chilly Nordic are equipped with snow shovels, brooms and a lawnmower as they work to restore law and order in the war-torn country.
"It's all part of a standard camp equipment," Jess Rasmussen from the Danish Army Operational Command's materiel section told Reuters.
"It clearly should have been taken out before shipment but on the other hand it makes no harm."
Danish troops are stationed at Camp Eden in the desert near the southern town of Qurna, north of Basra.
Denmark contributed troops, a submarine and a warship to the US-led invasion of Iraq that toppled President Saddam Hussein.
