Graphic Evidence Of The Racism Of Fox News: Racial Photoshopping
Posted by Mark on April 11, 2012 at 2:39 pm.
News reports are suggesting that later today the authorities in Florida will announce charges against Trayvon Martins shooter, George Zimmerman. Coverage of this story was handled by Fox News in a manner that is revealing and offensive and wholly unique to Fox News:
This is a journalistic lynching. And note, this is not Fox Nation. It is the mothership, Fox News. The editors at this alleged news network are demonstrating their overt hostility to both African-Americans and journalistic ethics. If this picture doesnt finally establish the overarching prejudice of Fox, its hard to know what will. Their bias is so clearly being exercised with a zealotry that the Klan would shrink from. How do they get away with this?

(14,933 posts)unbelievable, but they did this with Obama.

(45,558 posts)I think they made Tray von darker because Zimmerman has some hispanic coloring. They made the victim look darker than the shooter.

(17,528 posts)In one he is much to dark. In the other he looks washed out...almost like an over exposed black and white picture.
Travon had medium nice brown skin.

(37,161 posts)The darker picture of Trayvon is from a newspaper photo of a poster (with Trayvon's photo) at one of the protests. It was in the news about two weeks ago when -- get this -- the RWers accused the "liberal" media of lightening the photo (presumably to make the horrible gangsta wannabe less threatening (sick)). They were making hay because a photo of a reproduction was darker than the original.
So of course, to make more hay, FOX uses the darker newspaper photo, while NOT using the Zimmerman photo that was in use at the same time.

(28,955 posts)Then the exact same article on their own home page will have a regular image of Trayvon. Huffington Post obviously knows AOL readers are mostly hard right Republicans. Still it pisses me off that even Huffington Post pulls the same kind of crap.

(114 posts)has already acquitted Zimmerman on the basis of the killer's story and John the mysterious eyewitness's account. The most disgusting thing of this case is that the police chief and state attorney also declared Zimmerman's innocence before thorough investigation.

I was totally anti-OJ then, but now, I totally understand the racial divide that case created and had I known what I know today, I might have been on the other side.

america can be mean, vicious and downright disgusting when it comes to politics in general and racial politics specifically. this is a pathologically sick country with a lot of psychotic individuals running the streets waiting to kill someone..
