No doubt that tonight Fox will blame Obama because he
constantly compromises and weakens our armed forces.. .

(50,130 posts)....when I saw some of the Army team on TV -- they were just HUGE big bruisers. Tackles, maybe, or offensive blockers --- I wondered how they qualified for Army fitness standards.

(9,893 posts)Either Yale has an unusually talented team this year and received every break imaginable, or Army is so bad that a decent Ohio high school football team could beat them.
To me, this news is truly shocking.

(50,557 posts)If Army wins a football game, it's generally because the other team got lost on the way to the stadium. The problem Army, Navy and Air Force have is very simple: if you are big enough to be a football player you're too damn big to be in the Army. I went through the Seattle Seahawks' roster - Seattle has some of the smallest players in the NFL, so they're a good team to use. The only man on the entire 53-man roster who's scrawny enough to serve in the military without constantly being in remedial PT is Richard Sherman.

Although we've lost every game this year. The trophy may be moving. Bummer.

(6,474 posts)as a big college football fan-its rare an Ivy League team beats a Division 1A school. Ivy League doesn't give athletic scholarships. Actually neither does Army but under NCAA rules Army can admit unlimited recruits into their program and Prep Academies.
