If The Greedy Old Poopers

do manage to steal the Senate, I will be left with many conclusions but the strongest would be this: there are far too many people in this country who are too stupid for their own good. That in itself wouldn't be a problem if the rest of us didn't have to be effected by the sheer idiocy and dangerous consequences of their choices.

I've always hated group punishment.

Even if you're not totally happy with our party right now, and I can't claim I'm overjoyed with all of them either, still go out and vote for a Democratic Candidate this November. We can gripe at them later for what we see as their faults and their failings, but let us remember our first priority has to be getting as many of the far right moon bats out of office as soon as possible first.

Now, to get my family, friends and neighbors to the polls. Well, those that vote Democratic, that is. The rest can mark their calendars.

Me bad!

As always. And I'm not overjoyed with the Democratic Party right now, either, but, at least, most of its candidates are sane.

When democrats get out and vote, democrats win. When democrats stay home republicans win. No matter what anyone may say, the two parties "ARE NOT" the same.

While I think the party as a whole could do better at standing up for themselves and standing up against Wall Street and the Republicans, Civil Right are too important to all of us, and I don't want to see women's rights and African American rights set back decades by handing the nut-job Republicans the Senate.

that voting was unfair.

I was drafted, couldn't vote. Had to be 21. Served and came
back home. Got an afternoon job and worked too many hours
(mandatory). Voting was designed for bankers (non-union),
workers (non-union), and government (non-union).

so it would be easy and convenient. As has been said we should be making it easier for people to vote not harder.

I think more Democrats need to start speaking up and publically calling out how crazy and truly scary these right wing whackos are. I think they need to start giving speeches that aren't watered down for "political politeness." I want to hear them getting down deep and honest with the public about the cost of voting Republican, something like this:

"if you are voting for these Tea Party radicals you need to re-examine your priorities. Do you really want your children to grow up with such undisguised hatred in their hearts? For you, who call yourselves Christians, do you really think this is what Jesus would have wanted? Do you trust Republican extremists to protect your daughters' when they justify, excuse, and joke about rape? Do you expect them to protect your sons, when their first response to every international crisis is start a war? Ask yourselves is this is what our soldiers fought and died for? Ask yourselves do we want to go back and refight the Civil War, in which the Union triumphed over those who would have divided it? Do we want to refight the battles of the Civil Rights Movements, again and again, and again? Or should we move forward together into the future while learning from the mistakes of our past? They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Well that's what the tea party Republicans want to do is keep repeating the mistakes of our past. Well that's fine for them. Let them live in their own little fantasy bubbles where the Confederacy won, and Trickle Down economics solves every problem, but for those of us living in the real world let us acknowledge those ideas have been tried and failed every single time. The fact is the Republican party has let themselves be over run by dangerous, rabid, and unstable individuals, until they can wrestle back control, that is if they ever can, it is much safer to vote Democrat. We aren't perfect but we aren't insane either."

what liberals stand for and what liberal policies have done for the US of A.
If they just listed all the positives one by one it's a no-brainer.

Our candidates need to quit "apologizing" for being Liberals, and start being proud to call themselves Liberals again. I never stopped calling myself one because I was never ashamed of it. I am damn proud to be one because it means I support progress, equality, intelligence, and a sense of responsibility not to just to our families, but the world community, and the universe we live in. I see nothing wrong with any of that.

Personally I think it's far past time the other side starts feeling guilty for who they are.
