My theory for those interested

especially since I have been accused of trolling

Things that will get done that most folks want
1. Keystone pipeline (jobs)
2. support for Israel
3. ISIS, unfortunately boots will be on the ground
4. immigration (build walls along our borders) and let those in the country stay

Apparently the war on women didn't work
Repubs are not going to take away your birth control or abortions clinics, that didn't work

as for the ACA it is here to stay, but does need modification because it is costing some folks lots of money in deductibles. Who knows maybe single payer.

people don't want Keystone and the jobs are in the building probably farmed out to China or somewhere. With oil prices falling it is too costly to take oil from tar sands so maybe there will be no Keystone after all.

How good of a progressive are you?

Time to look in the mirror because people are hungry, underemployed, if employed at all. We have almost lost our middle class.

from that in other parts of the world, but the comparison is moronic. Do you believe women should have access to abortion? (of course not, I've read your bullshit) Republican TARP laws have made that impossible for millions of women. Equal pay? Guess what? Repubs don't.

Nov 2014

1) Keystone pipeline - Jobs at reduced wages and massive environmental destruction. Lots of on the job deaths and injuries thanks to gutting of OSHA and other regulatory agencies.

2) When did we ever NOT support Israel?

3) War in Iran.

4) Military deployment to borders, more Arizona-like laws at the federal level.

5) Half the number of abortion clinics in the U.S. by 2016. Outlawing of IUDs and oral contraceptives in red states.

6) CIA/NSA unleashed. Torture report sent to a "black site" and never heard from again.

7) Fracking galore!

8) Expanded offshore drilling.

9) Open season on ANWAR

10) ACA starved for funds, then gutted by the courts.

11) More voter ID laws, with the current ones upheld by the Scalia 5.

12) Moves to eliminate overtime pay and the minimum wage.

13) Obama impeachment by end of 2015.

14) Slashing of social programs

15) Partial privatization of Social Security, followed by full privatization when they take the White House in 2016

16) Government shutdown to push extort budget cuts for social welfare.

17) Debt default if the shutdown doesn't get them

18) Economy tanks worse than 2008-2009

19) Massive effort to re-criminalize homosexuality

20) Mass shootings weekly as all gun regulation vanishes.

21) Elimination of all green energy incentives

22) CO2 levels will climb

23) Massive effort to altar science curriculum to strip out anything that contradicts conservative religious/economic orthodoxy

24) Massive effort to restore Christian prayer to schools

25) Massive expansion of privatization in schools, prisons, military and public utiliies.

26) Tiered, pay-to-play internet access

27) Gutting of Consumer Protection Bureau

28) Tax cuts galore

29) Expansion of dark money spending for 2016

30) No judges approved who are not to the right of John Roberts

Wed Nov 5, 2014, 12:58 PM
Nov 2014

Most folks don't want the Keystone XL pipeline. It will only provide a bump in jobs during construction. After it's complete there will be fewer than 20 permanent jobs. So no, not jobs there. But, spills in the future that will contaminate neighborhoods, and water supplies.

Most folks are getting pretty sick of Netanyahu and his expanding settlements into territory in violation of international law and UN resolutions. Not to mention the asymmetrical war on the Palestinians.

Most folks don't want boots on the ground for ISIS. We're sick of wars fought for corporations and oil. ISIS poses no threat at all to the US.

Most folks understand that we are a country of immigrants.
(Remember: “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.” )

So when the right gets all up on its high-horse about immigrants it seems to forget that those pasty white old men complaining about undocumented immigrants are all descendants of illegal immigrants. None of them are Native Americans.

I always kept it to myself but felt that using the phrase "war on women" as part of a campaign could be counterproductive but the Republicans discussion on rape were far worse, discussing the probability of becoming from rape with false information, requiring a separate insurance accurately and perfectly described as "rape insurance", "legitimate rape", god intended for the pregnancy from the rape to occur, "some girls rape easy", etc. I don't know how that didn't just kill the party, they went beyond the third rail and stepped in it over and over again and we worry about running people too liberal.

Defunding plan parenthood, opposing abortions in cases of rape which is where all this baffling nonsense came from, oppose the equal pay act, oppose a better system for sexual assault victims in the military, oppose safety nets that would help single mothers. Their platform clearly opposes policies that benefit women.
