Chief: Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson ‘immediately’ returns if cleared in Michael Brown's death
Criminal charges would ‘most likely’ result in firing, he says
The Ferguson police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown will be “immediately” returned to active duty if he is not indicted, Chief Tom Jackson told Yahoo News on Friday. Officer Darren Wilson has been on paid leave since the controversial shooting in early August. He would come back to a “not yet determined assignment,” the chief writes in an email. If the grand jury charges Wilson, Jackson said the officer would “most likely” be terminated “if it is a felony.” http://news.yahoo.com/chief-ferguson-officer-darren-wilson-immediately-returns-if-cleared-in-michael-browns-death--020541972.html

1. That's sounds about right
If he's not indicted by the grand jury then they have to let him go back to work
I think he's going to look for another force to join far away from there. |

2. Back on the beat...
...for 30 seconds after he's recognized. Good luck, Officer Wilson.

3. Further down the article...
... They say that he likely won't go back to the street immediately.
Which is probably safest... |

4. He's better off with Cheney in the bunker...
...however, if he is not indicted, the whole concept of "justice" in the US will be out the window.

5. I don't think he's going back at all , do you?
He fled his home . He had to put his family and him self in hiding
That town is a powder keg with someone just itching to light the match |

6. I suspect, but don't know for certain, that the PD is required to take him back...
... under contract and possibly union rules.
Maybe they offer him a buyout with a job somewhere else. |

7. Yes they would have to take him back I just don't think Wilson
wants to work there again.
This is all assuming the grand jury won't charge him. He still could get indicted Shooting MR Brown from 20 or 25 feet away isn't an easy thing to explain even if he did try to grab his gun when struggling through the window. MR Brown was already wounded and it seems highly unlikely after running away he had this idea to turn and charge Wilson |

8. I also suspect
when he is found not guilty he will be back to work as per the Union Contract. I would expect DU members would be happy to see a Union protecting its members via a valid union contract.

9. This is what scares me , it's as if the white racists are waiting for something to happen
so they can try to justify shooting more black people
