"President Obama to announce executive action on immigration Thursday" In Las Vegas!
"Tomorrow night I'm going to be announcing here from the White House some steps I can take to start fixing our broken immigration system," Obama said in a video posted on Facebook Wednesday afternoon.
"Everybody agrees that our immigration system is broken. Unfortunately Washington has allowed the problem to fester for too long," Obama said. "So what' I'm going to be laying out is the things I can do with my lawful authority as president to make the system work better even as I continue to work with Congress and encourage them to get a bipartisan, comprehensive bill that can solve the entire proble

(50,348 posts)he is total scum. He did Canadians a huge favor by renouncing his Canadian citizenship, it would be nice if he would renounce his US citizenship too and move on but no other country would have him!
Boehner knows he will lose any control he might still have, and I'm not sure he has much, and the teabaggers are going to go into fulblown mutiny unless the leadership moves to impeach the President as well as shut down the government, both actions being totally disastrous for the repub party's hopes for 2016.
The old saying, "You reap what you sow" is coming to fruition, the repub leadership pandered to the teabagger nutcases thinking they could easily control them. Not so much.
Cha

LOL.. mitch and boner just want to quietly continuing blocking and then in 2015 ram their proposals through to the President's desk so he can VETO.
the cruzbaggers want to do as you mentioned.. Shut Down our Government Again. Conflict! as least there's two opposing views within the GOP.

(24,412 posts)The Repubs have been stringing PBO along for 6 years now and have yet to demonstrate that they are serious about actually working with him to do anything. I've defended PBO in the past about his efforts to work with Republicans since he was elected and expressed concern about using executive orders over pushing for more secure and long-lasting congressional legislation but, at this point, I have little or no reason to believe that Republicans are interested in working with PBO on anything and that PBO can't "poison the well" any more than it's already been poisoned by constant Republican obstructionism. If he has to resort to executive actions to get a few good things done, then I support him in doing provided it is within the confines of the law, which this proposed action appears to be. Republicans are certainly going to be upset about it, chiefly because PBO will have achieved something over their rampant obstructionism and not for any other reason. If they were truly interested in working with PBO on immigration, they'd already be doing some meetings and coming up with a plan to get something through the House and/or the next Congress- but there is, as yet, no evidence that this is occurring (or will, regardless of Obama's actions).

(24,412 posts)They psychotically blamed PBO for starting/prolonging the shutdown (despite the Republican-controlled House refusing to submit a "clean" budget and changing the rules to make a vote for a "clean" budget almost impossible) and are, even now, pre-emptively blaming PBO for a shutdown that some members of Congress are clamoring for.

(53,661 posts)She said the Tea Party had done the reasonable and lawful thing, that Obama forced them to do. And they are lied about by the liberal media and are really NICE people. If there's another one, she'll blame Obama again.
She's already cult trained to only hear the magic words. Dittoheads and Beckerbelchers are all inoculated to any POV that counters that of their master's voice.
Using the reverse logic they embrace, I asked why would Obama want to stop spending, saying, "Obama would love to spend money on veterans and everyone else, since liberal Democrats love giving people money."
She sputtered a second, then went to how Obama is turning the country communist, going around the globe to import more Mexicans to vote for Democrats...
Imagine, Mexicans were imported by foreign countries, and Obama is bringing them here. The ones crossing the border aren't enough for him, so he goes to find them in other places!
You can't make this shit up, but the voices she hears does make it up.
Her finale was Obama is going to force everyone in the USA to live under Sharia Law! And that she'd never used a gun, but she'd kill anyone who tried to do that to her!
Yes, she's in a state of raving lunacy now, all from watching television. It's a form of psychosis that is accepted as it's so widespread.
The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd; indeed in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widely spread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.
~ Bertrand Russell
She finds my living on the west coast to be suspect, thus I'm a traitor...
The sick individual finds himself at home with all other similarly sick individuals. The whole culture is geared to this kind of pathology. The result is that the average individual does not experience the separateness and isolation the fully schizophrenic person feels. He feels at ease among those who suffer from the same deformation; in fact, it is the fully sane person who feels isolated in the insane society - and he may suffer so much from the incapacity to communicate that it is he who may become psychotic.

(41,831 posts)Most likely all Chinese ( or Taiwanese) decent. Many American Asians love rap.. for some reason. I like some of it, but am not a huge rap fan. As for Bobalife, there is a place not more than three blocks away that serve Taiwanese Boba tea. So many flavors.. my favorite its TARO.
Bubble tea comes in a variety of different flavors, the most popular being the fruity and creamy ones. Some widely available fruity and creamy flavors include strawberry, green apple, passion fruit, mango, lemon, watermelon, grape, lychee, peach, pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew, banana, avocado, coconut, and kiwi. Other popular non-fruity and creamy flavors include taro, chocolate, coffee, mocha, black milk tea, thai tea, lavender tea, and rose tea. Some cafes and shops offer non-creamy drinks by using fruit pulp syrups like passion fruit, honeydew, strawberry, and lychee. There are now 250 varieties of flavors and choices of a bubble tea drink.
