http://www.tmz.com/2014/11/26/creeds-scott-stapp-rant-video-creed-divorce/Scott Stapp, lead singer of Creed, who had multi-platinum sales in the 1990s, posted a video to his Facebook feed in which he said he is broke because the IRS took his money. In the video, he looks considerably haggard. He also makes bizarre statements.
From the article:
The singer says his wife -- who has filed for divorce -- is trying to get him committed, falsely accusing him of doing meth and showing signs of paranoia. Her divorce docs reportedly contain text messages from Stapp which say, among other things, "Florida is not safe. Biological weapons on the way."

(17,469 posts)not very cool. The guy seems to have serious problems and a little empathy would help.

(12,041 posts)The video is one of the most bizarre religious rants I have ever heard from a celebrity, it is a rambling paranoid diatribe about how people are out to destroy him but he has God on his side. It is truly bizarre and he appears to be guilty of something really bad, I don't know what it is but in the video he really looks like someone who is desperately trying to cover something up.

(38,511 posts)He doesn't say whether he actually paid his taxes. If he didn't, that may be exactly what brought on the audit. (Assuming anything in the video is true.)
If he pulled the same thing as other people who messed up on their taxes, he will have to face the consequences.

(12,041 posts)I also suspect he has that money stashed away somewhere. The claim that someone stole every penny from his bank account and he ended up homeless just weeks later is not even remotely plausible.
