Pres. Obama wants Americans to believe we are all equal under the law.
He wants to do everything he can to see to it - just said so in his televised remarks.
Liberty and justice for all - that's how it's supposed to work in the U.S.
But we all know that's not how it works. Cops can kill black people. Bankers can rob the rest of us. Politicians can act as war criminals. Some people are given free passes no matter what they do - and the rest of us are expected to admire and respect them in spite of the miscarriage of justice.
Yes, please do everything you can to make sure Americans believe that we're all equal under the law, Mr. President - EVERYTHING you can.
