From cleaning soiled linens to litter boxes, Ed Prince is the Humane Society of Washington County's go-to guy when it comes to dirty jobs.
The 85-year-old volunteer said he doesn't mind tackling the work no one else wants to do, as long as the animals come out on top.
"I really enjoy being able to do my part to keep the animals happy," Prince said. "They're taken care of. You can better believe that."
Prince, whose wife, Joan, died in 2004, said he started volunteering about a year and a half ago at the advice of a friend.
