Senator Pledges To Follow Leader Of A Foreign Nation (Lindsey Graham)

The Young Turks' Cenk Uygur takes apart Sen. Lindsey Graham for his recent meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem this past Sunday, where he told the leader of a foreign country that the United States Congress was not going to listen to our own leadership here in the United States, but instead "follow his lead."

As Cenk discussed, can anyone imagine another country where this sort of thing would be considered the norm?

Here's more from the JTA on the meeting: Lindsey Graham in Jerusalem: Senate vote coming on Iran sanctions bill:

Graham told Netanyahu that “the Congress will follow your lead” and will want to have a say about any final deal.

Well, Graham does represent the state famous for sedition. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

He just said that he would follow Netanyahu's lead with respect to voting on this one particular bill. Meaning he is an agreement with the Israeli PM that it is important to pass sanctions against Iran.

Graham is definitely an idiot but this headline is just unnecessarily incendiary and not accurate.
