WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican senators poised to lead major committees when the GOP takes charge are intent on pushing back many of President Barack Obama's policies, setting up potential showdowns over environmental rules, financial regulations and national security.

The all-GOP Congress — Republicans also have a commanding majority in the House — gives the powerful Senate committee heads a newfound opportunity to steer legislation and help shape the national debate.

With Republicans winning control of the Senate in the November election, all the committees will get new leaders, though all have been around for years.

The heads of the 13 major committees and Veterans' Affairs are some of the most senior members of the Senate. Three are octogenarians and four are in their late 70s. Only one new leader will be a woman; Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski is in line to take over the Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

The only thing which might encourage Republicans to make some good moves is the thought they can not blame their failures on someone else. I anticipate the veto pins will be active especially on ACA, I don't think Obama will allow it to be repealed unless a better system is presented like universal health care. Then it would get a new name, they are not going to give credit to Obama and have a name like Obamacare. They have lots of seats coming up un 2016 and a big possibility of losing the Senate and it will dig into their majority in the House. We have to run good candidates and GOTV to change the majority in Congress.

anything they undo - the brunt of the results will be on them. They really need to think twice about undoing things because they will shoulder the blame and seriously wound their chances in 2016 if things go south.

There won't be a move they can make without casting long shadows now that the spotlight is on them!
They won't be effective, not nearly as much as they hope to be.

Why?
Because President Obama is term-limited from running for the Presidency for another term.
His hands are no longer tied behind his back.
So, now, the gloves come off.

It's time for . . . Obama Unleashed!!!
