Obama Administration relying on Bush Administration

What the hell?
This kinda shit is why I have love/hate thoughts and feelings towards this President. This is in the "hate" category.

At the hearing, the defendants called doctors and researchers who asserted marijuana’s medical benefits and relative safety. The administration presented its own expert, a Harvard professor and former drug official in the George W. Bush administration who said pot is both addictive and dangerous.

if you want to protect against something physically addictive AND dangerous.

Which I think is a terrible idea. However lying about pot is not a good idea either, nor is stupid drug war.

Facts, data, and research are enemies of the U.S. government.

They have an agenda.

It does not bode well for 99% of us.

In a Rolling Stone interview, Obama stated, "I can't nullify congressional law."

Maybe changing the law is where activists should direct their efforts.

to remove cannabis from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act, the most tightly restricted category reserved for drugs which have "no currently accepted medical use" by petitioning the Drug Enforcement Administration, which is under the DOJ, which I thought Obama had some say over. He "can't nullify congressional law" but he can reschedule cannabis. To continue to say cannabis has no medical use is wrong and illogical.

Colorado is posting some hefty tax revenue and concomitant substantial decrease in crime. Hopefully that data will grease the skids for other states to follow suit.
