How often are jurors placed under lifetime gags?

I was reading the link here and I just find it unusual that a jury be it Grand or other be placed under a lifetime gag.

Shouldn't that move had sent a warning Flag to our federal Judaical oversight?

And IF the jurors are placed in that situation shouldn't the DA have a similar gag order he has to respect?

Given the one sided nature of a Grand Jury, I would hope all have lifetime gag orders. One_Life_To_Give Jan 2015 #3

Grand Juries the one place that makes Fox look fair and balanced. If your name was ever referenced or inferred by one you probably wouldn't want the testimony to be searchable. The founding fathers were right to place such restrictions upon publicly disclosing such information as might be presented without the benefit of opposing council.

I can't speak authoritatively about anywhere else, but when I was foreperson on an Illinois grand jury, our proceedings were closed and we were sworn not to disclose anything whatsoever about any case we heard.......ever. I think that's pretty much the way it is in most jurisdictions in this country.

Trial juries are usually not under such restrictions.
