Make no mistake. Except for 2 of them (Gibson and Rigell), those are protests from the right, and very few voted for somebody credible as speaker.

(46,373 posts)"On November 15, 2012two weeks after the electionthe Chattanooga Times Free Press obtained a transcript of DesJarlais' 2001 divorce proceeding with his first wife. It revealed that DesJarlais had admitted under oath to at least six sexual relationships with people he came in contact with while chief of staff at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper. Among them were at least two patients. The state Democratic Party had fought to get the transcript released before the election, but the transcriptwhich ran to 679 typed pageswas not complete at the time. The transcript also revealed that contrary to his staunch anti-abortion stance as a congressman, he had counseled his then-wife to have two abortions and pressured one of the patients with whom he'd had an affair to get an abortion. Additional transcripts revealed that he had prescribed pain pills to at least one patient with whom he'd had an affaira clear conflict of interest.[26][27][28]"
How is it, Weiner sends pictures of his schwanz to women, he gets run out of his seat.
This guy is a sexual predator and hypocrite but he stays in his seat and even gets re-elected.
Speaks volumes about the right-wing.

Webster got $25,000
Rigell got $20,000
Brat got $10,000 (and as much from McCarthy and some additional money from the NRCC)
NRCC gave money to others as well
Brat also wasnt the only anti-Boehner vote to have been supported by the Boehner-fueled NRCC. Three others (including Rep. Brian Babin of Texas, who voted present) received direct contributions from the committee. None of the four got more than $5,000, but the NRCC did expend significant resources for two other members who voted against the speaker $104,000 in coordinated expenditures in support of Rep. Chris Gibson (R-N.Y) and $90,000 in support of Rep. Rod Blum (R-Iowa).
