What gives with the American wars signs on I-385 in upstate SC? Someone has recently placed

signs about American wars along I-385 near Greenville, SC. Signs like "Vietnam War, 1956-1975," "Korean War" (might've had dates, I don't remember), "Undeclared Wars," etc.

These signs are green and they look like street signs. I wish I had a photo for you, but I don't.

What gives with these? Who's putting them up? Is this coming from taxpayer's money?

Possibly someone with an anti-war bent pointing out how much time the US spends attacking other people.

No, I've seen them and they are obviously state-sanctioned signs. While campaign signs and other small commercial signs are tolerated on rights-of-way, they are not allowed on limited access roads like I-385. My guess is someone got a state rep to sponsor this and they were paid for by private donations.
