For more than 100 years, aspirin has been used to stop aches, pains and hangovers. Most recently, the acetyl salicylic acid tablets have been touted as an immediate brake for heart attacks.

But the pills can do so much more. Here are some surprising ways to use aspirin.

1. Acne treatment: To heal pimples faster, form a paste by crushing two aspirin tablets and mixing with a small amount of water. Brush onto pimples, let dry, then rinse.
