The War On Birth Control Is About To Intensify. No Longer Just About Abortion.

Now that the fundamentalists are declaring that birth control is equal to abortion their real intentions are out. Women need to wake up. At this point they seem to be winning the battle.

Democrats need to come out openly against these groups. All I seem to hear is the sound of silence.

for quite a while now.

I'm well past reproductive age (I'm 66) and I'm not in any kind of a relationship, but I wish that the wives and girlfriends of men who support this crap would simply cut them off. Or cut it off, whatever works.

that's been a long part of their game. They were pushing they the "hey, we want it available everywhere OTC" to distact us from they don't insurers, employers, ACA or any government funds paying for it or funding for Planned Parenthood. Which was the earlier version of "you want birth control? Pay for it yourself"

It is really all about forcing American women to pop out as many babies as possible to keep the older white males in the majority in this Country. There was an estimate some time ago that at about 2050, they would be a minority. As we all know, minorities do not have the same power or influence as the majority; therefore, the goal is to escalate the number of white births in this Country as quickly as possible. Denying women the right of choice and/or birth control does exactly that.

For confirmation of this, just ask Pat Buchanan.

and continues to do clinic defense and have never been against sex or being sexy or expressing enthusiasm for sex. So while the youth were defining themselves against a Rush Limbaugh caricature of what feminism is and was the U.S. effectively closed down access to reproductive rights. And yes, youth has mired themselves in trivialities…

I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO WEAR A PUSH UP BRA! AND A MINI SKIRT! AND THESE THINGS ARE IMPORTANT AS A FEMINiST!

Meanwhile, there is a woman trying to access an abortion but has to fly two states over and she is poor. So she won't do it and rather she is going to go to an underground abortionist.

Meanwhile, the same folks who have effectively shut down abortion in 70% of the country, are now attempting to shut down birth control.

And they will succeed if women, mostly young urban white women, define feminism as, 'I'll be as sexy as I want to be'.

Gallup, roe v. wade 2013:

18-29 54%/36%
30-49 52%/42%
50-64 42%/53%
65 and older 45%/45%

Boy, that's funny. At least according to this poll, it's the 50-64 set that are the problem, NOT the nasty, smut-addled youngsters who twerk to miley cyrus and dress inappropriately and won't get off my lawn.

Beyond that, maybe the best way to get people to listen to you is not to insult them, mock them, or belittle em.

Just a thought.

every fundamentalist wing of every religion. Removing our control over our own bodies strikes at our independence and equality in relationships, our participation and advancement in the work place, our feelings of self-worth, on and on. Dis-empowering 1/2 the population enables the other 1/2 to gain more power and influence. And every fundamentalist wants to significantly "grow" their own segment and they need their way with our wombs to do that.
I HELPED FIGHT that battle once---I'm talking about you, THE 60's! Time our daughters and granddaughters and the males who love us stand up and get in some patriarchal faces.

It's really not about sex, it's about controlling women. A woman who is constantly pregnant and/or caring for young children cannot get an education or a good job, and will forever be dependent on her Lord and Master husband. That's the true motive.

if there is less or no birth control available.

However, if you read or study history at all, you can quickly learn that people were having plenty of extra-marital sex before birth control was invented. So much so that it would be difficult to prove that there has been any increase in rate at all beyond the first year or so after it became widely available.

Beyond that, historically, you never get to shove the genie back into the lamp.

back to the good old days when they brought home the bread and the woman stayed home to take care of their ever increasing family because someone had to. And mind you back then people were making a wage that most of them could live on. Not so today.

Stand up men and assert the right to birth control.

and never has been about abortion, but strictly about control over women and their bodies. PERIOD.

to give you one small example of how insane these people are: years ago, there was a woman artist who did interesting art pieces with condoms. one of her shows was picketed, because, according to the nutzoids, SHE WAS A MURDERER for using condoms as art.
