It Will Take Same Militancy Of Early Unions To Regain Worker Rights Back.

Now that ALEC is labeling the demand for higher wages as being "extremist wages" and using proxies to file law suits against entities like cities passing higher minimum wage bill, it is obvious that the economic war is on. When you see and attitude that even today's pitiful minimum wage is probably and extreme wage, it is time to fight. Or will the American worker just roll over? Until workers are willing to go after institutions like the US Chamber of Commerce and challenge them things will only get worse.

"Going after" organizations like the CoC will accomplish nothing. Groups like that are the enemy Bad Granny Jan 2015 #1
How do you envision that being done? OneGrassRoot Jan 2015 #2

and cannot be reasoned with.

The ONLY way to achieve any success against organizations (and yes, political groups and corporations) that work against US is to go after the individual people who make the decisions and carry out the policies that are so harmful.

ONLY when they fear to keep doing what they do now with impunity will there be any chance to fix the clusterfuck they have turned our entire world into.

Make them pay personally and they may change.
Allow them to remain untouched and unpunished and they will never change.

The right is always talking about "personal responsibility" - it is long past time to make the "bad actors" who do so much harm personally responsible for their actions.

Otherwise, we are just pissing into the wind.

I admit that I get confused by what people mean nowadays when they use the term "militant." (Hopefully TheMasterNemesis will see this and reply to that question.) I've had a rude awakening in the last year regarding how words have evolved tremendously, and now often mean something totally different than they did 20 years ago.

I learned that the term "liberal" is viewed as The Enemy in many growing groups.

Anyway, I tend to agree with you about the personal responsibility thing and, when the facts are indisputable and irrefutable, calling out individuals in question and holding them to account.

How to most effectively do that is my question. How to make such obscenely greedy behavior, with is sanctioned in our current system, socially unacceptable instead of admirable?

their family.

They value their lives and luxuries over everything else on the planet.
Those things need to be taken from them.

By any means necessary.

Did they ask us if it was okay to trash our planet and steal our futures?

We should not ask them to contribute to society by sharing their ill-gotten gains.
We should just take it from them.

By any means necessary.

That slogan speaks volumes about what needs to be done.
Half-assed, peaceful measures will not do it.
Not by a long shot.
