Cuba, Venezuela, and food...

I saw a report on Al Jazeera this morning that showed the grocery shelves in Venezuela totally empty. Some had a few items on them. People were waiting in lines, that appeared to be blocks long, in attempts to get into the store and buy necessities such as soap, shampoo, diapers, etc...

Would this not be a good time to expand our relations with Cuba in regards to agricultural products sold to them? We could sell the grains and vegetables to Cuba and help them distribute the food to other parts of our hemisphere where people may be hungry? For example, Venezuela. We need to be more friendly to our neighbors to the south, in my opinion.

Distributing good and other necessities beats the hell out of distributing bombs. Maybe the MIC will find a way to profit from it, and the republicans will agree as well.
