Obama's 'Drop the Mic' Moment at the State of the Union

by Andrew Rafferty
January 21, 2015

It may be the only line Americans remember from the 2015 State of the Union address.

Calling for political unity, President Barack Obama declared to the GOP-controlled Congress that he has "no more campaigns to run."

Some Republicans in the chamber applauded the idea, but the president was poised with a quick retort.

"I know because I won both of them," he said, referring to his two successful presidential campaigns.

Even Republican Sen. John McCain, his rival in the 2008 election, applauded the joke.

Great line.

The rest of the speech was just meaningless words. Little, if anything at all, will get done. Some of these proposals should have been made when DEMS controlled both houses. Too late now.

He made it clear (without malice) in the Opposition controlled house that he is the President and holds the authority, prestige, honor, and responsibilities of the office.

In Beltway Republican World they claimed Obama was strutting around DC claiming he had killed Bin Laden and WON the "War On Terror" and there were no more terrorists. So when the consulate (NOT AN EMBASSY) got attacked Republicans were telling each other that the Obama Administration was refusing to use the word "terrorist" because they were claiming there were no more terrorists because Obama had won the "War On Terror".

What cracks me up is the REASON they believed this stupidity is because it's exactly the kind of thing Republicans do CONSTANTLY.

They really believe reality can be dictated and facts don't matter.

painting Hilary as a Kenyan Muslim. It'll be a challenge, but I know they're up to it!
I'll start: Hilary once used the word 'Kenya' in a sentence. Run with that one guys.
