She'd lost everything in Hurricane Sandy and is now going through that again.

each town has its own construction code and some are quite lax. This complex was hundreds of apartments made from light wood construction which would be illegal in many, if not most, places for that kind of density.

I remember another case where a complex ran across town lines and Edgewater's half was stick built while the other half was fire-resistive. Insane? Yes.

Video of this fire is on local nooze, and it's pretty horrific. 35 fire departments answered the call.
