BAYONNE (WABC) -- A Bayonne police officer is under arrest and facing charges of using inappropriate force during an arrest.

FBI agents took Officer Dominick Lillo, 44, into custody at his home Friday morning.

Officer Domenico Lillo, a 14-year veteran, has been suspended without pay from the Bayonne police force pending a judge's ruling in this federal case.

He's accused of excessive force and falsifying reports, and records show this isn't the first time these type of allegations have been made against him.

over and over again, until our out- of-control cops finally 'get the message'.

It's awesome that
1) the officer is not only arrested, but
2) is actually taken into custody, just like any other criminal (sept for 1%ers, who now
operate 'above the law'),
3) the officer is placed on UNPAID leave, not the usual paid vacation.

I love that all three of these things happened, finally. I hope this is a loud shot across the bow
to the bullies and killer-cops and their enablers.

I have read somewhere that data shows that in most police departments the majority of the abuse is perpetrated by a small number of officers. They are the ones with most complaints against them. Yet, nothing is done. Its about time the FBI gets on it.
