OMFG ... I just checked tonight's TV listings.

Tonight's 60 Minutes installment will be an infomercial on Boner and McConnell. Nothing else.

CBS has no shame. Link: http://my.excite.com/tv/prog.jsp?id=EP000000351219&sid=11902&sn=WTSP&st=201501251900&cn=10

For many years I recorded 60 Minutes but then I stopped and only watched occassionally when
it became apparent they had an agenda. I stopped watching altogether after the Logan bullshit.
This is sickening.

10. Abandoning the media means cutting off

an avenue to be heard. It is not demanding accountability and is shortsighted. Now I don't watch Fox or any of its affiliates. However, I will not totally abandon some of the media and I will let them know how I feel about coverage. Not all areas of this nation have access to broadband nor are all people proficient in the use of computers. When you give money for the use of internet services you still are providing payment to those voices too.

I worked as a bartender and we always put it on in spite of whatever sports were on because it was so popular with our clientele. What a waste of airtime it became over the decades. I never put it on but yet I miss it, that is the show it had been instead of the corporate right wing tabloid it has become.

5. Along w/CBS News, it hasn't recovered from Sumner Redstone's ownership.

Sumner finally retired as Chair of Viacom last year - a self avowed "liberal" (who actually backed Bush in 2000 and 2004), he only believed in news that reflects his own views. That's actually a pretty narrow, neocon squint of the world.

6. 60 Minutes is still on?

Or do you mean the empty shell of it, containing nothing but swill and propaganda?

Just another piece of America, drained of all decency and good, pretending to be what it no longer is.

7. Stopped Watching "60 Minutes"

Literally Years ago when they Stopped actually doing in-depth meaningful journalism about issues of the day and that were Impportant to all of us-It was simply worthless. I have no morbid curiosities about an hour long accounting of murdered people I've never heard of.
That's what they began airing during "bushco" era and during the Iraq War....During the VN War era..there Was Actual On the Ground In-depth, naming names Truth Telling.

13. The show called VICE is so much better.

VICE is between a short doc and an edgy investigative show.
Has a web site with videos, and lots of their shows are on YouTube channel.
Much more interesting than anything on tv.

99%+ of our country did not / could not vote for these two douchebags, but they do need to know who they are, and what their job is, their responsibilities are and the consequences of putting these two men in power.

These two dudes are only here because 2/3 of the country didn't show up to vote, or voted for the Repubs. As is often said, elections have consequences, and any ills that befall our nation because of these two idiots should be broadcast loud and clear.

Average Americans need to know these people, know who they are, what evil they do, etc.
