Do teachers still read this nursery rhyme to little children in class?

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice and all things nice,
That's what little girls are made of

never knew what a 'snip' was . I looked it up and it's something like a slug. Nursery rhymes were really weird when you look at them as an adult now.

but a friend posted this about her granddaughter: .my sweet 6-yr old poochie sums it all up quite nicely on her Valentine's Day chalkboard...(in case you can't interpret...it says "girls are made of way more than sugar and spice and everything nice. Girls are made of love, kindness and have a big heart"

Hobbes: dragonflies and katydids
but mostly chewed up little kids

were teachers reading those or did we hear them from somewhere else, like Little Golden books or something?
