Islamic State militants 'burn to death 45 in Iraq'

Jihadist militants from Islamic State (IS) have burned to death 45 people in the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi, the local police chief says.

Exactly who these people were and why they were killed is not clear, but Col Qasim al-Obeidi said he believed some were members of the security forces.

IS fighters captured much of the town, near Ain al-Asad air base, last week.

Col Obeidi said a compound that houses the families of security personnel and local officials was now under attack.

He pleaded for help from the government and the international community.

When is Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia going to coalesce and eliminate them.

Sunni militias in syria and iraq destabilize shiite governments, and that suits the sauds just fine.

with their regressive actions against the Sunni population as well as Kurdish population. Shia militias ethnically cleansed neighborhoods just like what IS did here.

The Alawite Syrian government is very oppressive themselves.

You're right this suits the Sauds but hardly any good guys in this.

Plus Saudi Arabia has long financed & pushed Wahabbi ideology going back years & IS is the result of that.

Terror financiers are living freely in Qatar, US discloses

Two of al-Qaeda’s most senior financiers are living with impunity in Qatar despite being on a worldwide terrorism blacklist, the American official in charge of sanctions has disclosed.

<snip>

Qatar has huge investments in Britain — including such landmark businesses as the Shard skyscraper — and yet at the same time is apparently condoning jihadist financiers operating out of the Gulf.

The two Qataris — Khalifa Muhammad Turki al-Subaiy and Abd al-Rahman bin Umayr al-Nuaymi — are living in Doha, the country’s capital, and are free to go as they please, according to David Cohen, the US Treasury under-secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence.

Wealthy investors in Qatari, Kuwait, & Saudi Arabia is where it is all coming from.

Unfortunately Bush really fucked things up. If if we get too involved now, it will make things worse.

It's time to withdraw all US forces from the Middle East and let them sort it out amongst themselves.

US involvement only makes things worse.

so there wasn't much reason for IS. Very oppressive to the Shia population, a Shia political leader from the 70s was living in exile in Iran. After the fall of Saddam the CIA installed him as Prime Minister of Iraq and started oppressing the Sunni population.

He ran a secular government, but a barbarian himself.

It isn't like Bush didn't know any of this though -- corporate, private defense profits
