Pittsburgh security guards flocking to Service Employees International Union

The unionization campaign started in August and became public in October when security guards started protesting in the streets outside of PPG’s Downtown headquarters. The PPG guards are employed by Chesley Brown International, an Atlanta-based company that is contracted to provide security at the building. From that organizing campaign, the union moved on to other security companies in the area.
