Every now and again, it would look like he missed a spot.

I think he had a bit of grey even back then - not a lot, just a tad.

It works to look youthful and energetic in a first campaign, and then in the months/years to follow, a few grey hairs add that gravitas, a visual expression that suggests "I'm working hard."
