Do you have a Hotmail account? I need help resizing.

I use Hotmail as a secondary account. When I get an email in Hotmail, the text is cut off by the ads on the right side. Can't seen to figure out how to reset the page so that I can read the whole text. What am I missing? Obviously I don't care about the ads and would like to resize the "folders" on the left or somehow change the alignment on the page. Cannot figure out what to do to make the text of an e-mail readable. Everything on the right side of the text is cut off.
Since this is probably a general question, I have posted it here and not in the Computer group. Those fine folks have helped me a lot with other stuff. This seems elementary but I can't seem to figure it out.

Any ideas?
