Face it, Politics is a continuous war with winners and losers

Democrats and liberals have to treat politics like this, that nothing is permanently set and everything is subjected to change based on who wins and who loses each battle, as well as the larger war. There is no cheering victory and going home. Politics is a continuous war (just look at the Republicans waging a now 40 year old war against what Democrats and progressives gave America since the beginning of the 20th century.) Even if we were winning, the conservatives would never stop plotting and scheming.

Thus, there always has to be people, groups, etc... fighting either to preserve rights that have been won, or to fight for rights not currently recognized. Your ability to enjoy rights relies on groups being strong enough to fight to preserve existing rights or fight for more rights, otherwise you lose. Just think of small countries of long ago that didn't have strong enough armies and then an invading army would take over and loot and ruin the people's lives or even take the people as slaves. Thus, the people paid the price for the army not being able to effectively defend the people and land. This goes the same for rights and politics. We all should know now the conservatives / right wing will never stop to try to take our rights away and diminish (or even ruin) our quality of life. We have to treat politics like a continuous war and we need strong enough groups to defend and fight for rights and a better life for us, and we ourselves need to get as many people to realize this and realize just how important is voting in EVERY SINGLE ELECTION as well as supporting the groups that fight for us.
