It`s about those "friends across the aisle"......

Sifting through postings on DU today, I noticed words like: treason, traitor, perfidy. I considered Secretary Clinton`s two possible reasons for the Republican47`s interference in the negotiations with Iran: help Iranian, hurt President Obama. The overt disrespect the Republican Party exhibits for President Obama and the office he holds, should make us think long and hard before we willingly surrender another thing. They don`t deserve compromise. In fact, they don`t deserve the time of day.

Look at the people Republican leadership (and those who obediently follow them) are willing to sacrifice: children with no place to live, veterans with no job and no legs, senior citizens paying 5 times what they should for medicine they can`t afford. The list is very, very long. Look at the things Republicans are willing to turn a blind eye to: melting ice caps, unsafe bridges, science, boarded up factories, oil spills, student loan debt, racist cops, long unemployment lines, voter suppression. I could type half the night on this list. It`s worse than being out of touch, much worse. They actually don`t give a damn and they`re proud of that. That`s why there is a lot riding on Democrats, and that`s why we can`t act like Republicans, no matter what.

I`ve seen a lot in my umpteen decades as a Democrat, but never anything like the dysfunctional Republican Party we have today. I used to get mad at them. Then I got disgusted with them. Now I`m sickened by what they have done to this country.

To whatever extent we are able, get out a unified message, get out the vote, get off our butts and get busy.

boarded up factories, oil spills, student loan debt, racist cops, long unemployment lines, voter suppression: we're instead getting "ed reform," Alan Simpson, half-assery on guns and transit, 5 wars running at once (that we know about), "clean coal," fracking endorsements, H-1Bs and neoliberalism

that the LETTER was sent for the reason to either "Help Iran or hurt President Obama."

How would the letter help Iran? Seems that it would make it more difficult to ask for more than we or the other 6 countries are prepared or able to give them.

Somebody smarter than me, please explain. That's 98% of you.
