I have been searching for phone numbers of old friends lately and every one of the sites I find requires a fee to access the information I need. Are any of these phone number search sites free?
Since I don't have a phone book for any of the areas I want to reach, this search has been a pain in the neck. Maybe I'm searching for a site that does not exist.
Any suggestions?

(19,564 posts)It's free, but only works if they have a landline.

(11,913 posts)It came up with a link to www.whitepages.com. The link displayed her info several times, but only one displayed a phone icon. I clicked to expand the view and was able to see her address, phone number, the fact that it's a Verizon land line, and a map of her house (street or satellite view). You could also click on a button to get her neighbor's information.
Google also presented a link showing her name and phone right in Google's search results. If you clicked on it, it went to http://4delaware.net. You should be able to replace "delaware" with your state and look someone up.
Hope this helps!

(21,946 posts)free. They should have to say upfront that its a "register" site or a pay per view site. It's not false advertising per se, but deceptive advertising.
