Is there any reason that Hillary couldn't have maintained 2 personal email accounts while at State? One for State business and the other for personal stuff.
According to reports I've read, they deleted 30,000+ personal emails. It just seems weird to me to mingle personal stuff with official State Dept stuff.

I see this whole episode, not as some conspiracy, but an example of "I'm a Big Shot" perks like the corner office and private parking spot and bathroom.

(25,183 posts)when she felt that she and Bill left the White House dead broke. She's been educated on the optics of such behavior since then, but I expect other such fallout from that time. It probably won't matter to people who are already committed to vote for her over any Rethuglican, but I don't expect her to inspire folks who usually don't bother to vote, the way Barack Obama did.

(12,157 posts)My company Z-10 Blackberry which they had to pry out of my hands when I retired had a personal and a work space. My emails from the company came on the secure work space. Had I so wanted I could've had personal email on the personal space.

(23,156 posts)or any version of a smart phone of any kind, perhaps my question is even dumber: She said that she didn't want to be carrying two devices. Is a Blackberry so limited it will only let you access one email account of any kind?
While she's taking a lot of heat for what she did, I'm frequently amazed at how many people use their work email for all their personal stuff also. Bad idea. Very bad idea. You should always keep work and personal emails totally separate. People have been known to get fired because they were dumb enough to post an email on the work account that came back to bite them.
