Jindal’s Star No Longer Rising

The Washington Post says Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) “is one of the great mysteries of the early 2016 campaign: the rising star who has stalled.”

“Not long ago, the Louisiana governor was the Republican candidate of the future — the son of immigrants and also a proud product of the Deep South. He is a devout Catholic, an experienced governor and — in a political sphere dominated by shallow cable-television shouters — a data-driven Rhodes Scholar.”

“But now, Jindal sits at about 2 percent in national Republican polls. He has become such an afterthought that he recently resorted to asking himself a “gotcha” question. The media hadn’t bothered, and he wanted to stay in the conversation.”

Half of them know in their hearts that try as he might, Jeb Bush simply does not hate Women and Gay and Black people enough for their liking.

The other half knows that if they cant convince the stupids that the more the billionaires have of their money the better, then they are in real deep doodoo.

Oxford must be going to hell. Seriously, I have never heard of that man saying or doing anything creative or intelligent. If he can be a Rhodes Scholar, Cambridge is looking a lot better these days.

11. If the media are really wondering why his star has stopped rising

Even eliminating the fact that he's a bumbler under pressure and has made himself look goofy as hell more than once, then the media are either as stupid as he is or whistling past the graveyard over the fact that there's no way in hell republicans are going to nominate anyone other than a white - probably protestant - as their candidate for 2016.

Maybe... maaaaaaaaaaybe if Obama hadn't stirred up the GOP's natural racism, he could have had a shot at the veep slot if not the pres nomination, but there's just no way now.

Same goes for Ben Carson.

And Marc Rubio.

Cruz has a chance just because his appeal to the batshit insane part of the GOP can make them overlook the fact that he's not lilly-white.
