Think through the results if the GOP were able to install ALL of its policies on health care. Everything would be inadequately vouchered health plans. These vouchers would not even cover HC with a veterinarian. There would be no Medicare, Medicaide, or other HC programs. Health care providers would be in states where there were few or no regulations. Insurance companies would have high co pays, and all the exclusions they had before. And drug prices would be unaffordable to most patients.
The costs would be so high and with jobs that had no benefits very few workers would have access to health care of any kind. And women would be the most affected and would have a very different health care system where reproductive health care would be controlled by religious principles. And if a person go a long term disease or life threatening disease they would end up bankrupt and probably dead because their money ran out
One has to add up the cumulative effect of ALL the policies they support. Seniors voting GOP are signing their death warrants because they will be left out in the cold ultimately.

(10,602 posts)Look at how many states will not expand Medicaid. And the GOP wants to cut any spending on subsidies for ACA. And look at how many war vets are being neglected. We have a lot of vets who would be in nursing homes were it not for their families who are NOW carrying almost ALL of the financial burden of caring for these guys whose life is pretty much destroyed.
