McConnell: No Vote on AG Unless GOP Gets to Force Trafficking Victims to Bear Their Rapists' Childre

For a very long time, to the appalling and righteous anger of those who value women's rights, Congress has forbidden using federal funds for abortion, with one important exception: victims of rape and incest. Congress has never before crossed the line of forcing victims of rape to bear their rapists' children for the lack of financial means. But now, Senate Republicans are poised to do just that.

But isn't this about Human Trafficking victims not being able to use federal funds (collected from fines from crimes)? What does that have to do with rape?

If you are even asking that question, you do not understand human trafficking. It's a horrific crime of terror - predominantly perpetrated on women and children - that enslaves its victims, sometimes selling them into labor, sometimes into sexual slavery.
The victims have no say, they have no rights, they have no ability to consent. No victim of human trafficking - during the period of their trafficking - can be considered to have given consent for anything, let alone an act of sex. This is not to even mention that many become victims of human trafficking after suffering from the ravages of conflicts in which rape is used as a weapon of war.

Because no victim of trafficking can be considered to have given consent, all pregnancies resulting from human trafficking is therefore, by definition, a result of rape. Plain and simple. We should also note that the restitution fund is all that victims of trafficking will have aside from the clothes on their backs, and forbidding its use for abortions is trying to force these women to have the children of their rapists.

http://www.thepeoplesview.net/main/2015/3/16/mcconnell-no-vote-on-ag-gop-force-trafficking-victims-to-have-rapists-children

How low will the GOP go? If I had my way, it would be to the depths of hell for all eternity.

BTW, both parties are not the same, not by a long shot, just ask a woman.

We would be as red as Kentucky

Also, the states demographics changed after Nixon ran for governor and lost. I could not vote then, but the LA and SF areas started to have more influence and turn progressive

The problem people have is they believe that California is a firm blue state, and now it mostly is during presidential elections, however, at a rally I went to several years ago for Barbara Boxer she actually described it as an independent state, and if you look at our different governors, and past senators, she has a point. Her message at that time was getting out the vote because it can't be taken for granted

Arnold was a disaster for the state financially, and it is no compliment to the state who elected him, because that is more of a reflection of the idiots in my state, and their attraction to celebrity. I suspect the same celebrity reasoning would apply to Reagan also. A lot of people were hurt by Reagan in my state, and a lot were not paying attention just how bad he was until later

Also, as progressive as some aspects of California appear today, the no vote lost on proposition 8, and that says volumes about California. Even though the proposition 8 was badly written, it essentially meant if you vote no on prop 8 it means you are for gay marriage, and I am sure some may have been confused by that wording.

California is in no hurry to legalize marajua, though they do have limited access with a doctors prescription

This last election a group of right wing interests put a proposition on the ballot to divide the state into 6 areas, a not so subtle way of gerrymandering our state. Fortunately it went down in flames

Yup, California has done some very stupid things, and sometimes they have learned from their mistakes, and sometimes they haven't

for decades, often swallowing shit to do it (you think Grimes is less than stellar in 2002 the party came up with a crook and he was closer) with nothing but failure to show for it only to be lumped in with what is being strive against.

It just registers as another kick in the teeth and I wanted to remind more fortunate types who live on the other side of a 60/40 or 55/45 that their shit can stink too.

to go back to the slaving days! OF COURSE they punish enslaved victims of sexual assault. OF COURSE. Anything to make another human lifeform suffer even MORE. Anything to humiliate women and punish them for being born with a uterus.

Another reason I say and forever say both parties are vastly, vastly different on social issues. The are practically polar opposites! I tell people don't fall into the Both are the same! Just because Jon Stewart does it, does not mean you should do it too! If both parties are the same, then why didn't the ACA finally meet it's doom? 50 votes to strike it down, 50 nays from Dems. Can't be any clearer than that imo.

And they don't care if the victims of sex trafficking such as those kidnapped by Boko Harum and ISIS, have no funds to escape and will be forced in the most brutal and degrading way possible to provide them with more fighters and slaves in the days to come. They are helping terrorists. But then, they are terrorists and want to make money off of war and the human misery that such actions bring. They are already on the record for refusing to sign on to a resolution against forced child marriages. They use the same logic to drag down women and children. The light at the Statue of Liberty is now gutted like a spent candle and out.
