The More America Sees Of The GOP, The More They Like Obama

The More America Sees Of The GOP, The More They Like Obama
Author: Elisabeth Parker March 16, 2015 7:52 pm

Most of all, the Washington Post credits Obama’s improved numbers to the economy: The so-called “recovery” finally seems to be trickling down from Wall Street to Main Street:

And although Obama’s ratings on the economy overlap with his overall rating (for obvious reasons), that is even more the case now. In December, 81 percent of those who approved of the president on the economy approved of him overall. Today, those two are even more closely tied, with 91 percent of those who support his economic record approving of him in general.

This is the second poll this year to show swiftly rising approval ratings for Obama. In January, Addicting Info reported on a poll with similar numbers from Gallup:

The President’s actions on immigration, climate change, Cuba, and community college, coupled with a falling unemployment rate, low gas prices, and high stock markets have greatly contributed to these record high approval ratings. Americans see this and for the first time since the Great Recession came down upon us, they are more optimistic than not with how the economy is going.

Yet the Washington Post fails to mention another possible factor in Obama’s rising approval numbers: The sheer awfulness of the Republican party and its vile and increasingly obvious agenda.

"Many people who come to this site have also expressed that if only this president had experienced cooperation and support he could have accomplished so much more. I also share in these sentiments. But I think it's very important to note and to realize that the resistance President Obama has faced is exactly what needed and needs to take place. You can't treat an infection or an infestation unless you know that it's there and if you don't get down to the root or the cause it will continue to fester. This infection or infestation can only continue to survive in the shadows and the darkness where it is able to do it's damage. As soon as it is exposed to the light of day it wants to scramble back as hide in the shadows."

Not the TPP and reigning in banks, of course, but calling for things like raising the minimum wage.

And he's no longer actively and openly looking to cut Social Security benefits.

People notice these things.

I hope he comes around on the TPP, don't understand what that is about, but that actively and openly cutting SS? Ha! You might have thought he did that, but he didn't. Maybe he was playing chess.

This man will never suck as presidents go, and that's a good thing!

the only possible reason I see for Obama being approved in any way is that he is not Romney. Other than that, most of his policies are not Progressive.
