The arrest of Justice Moore's son is a liberal plot to destroy his family

Daily Kos
AL Justice Roy Moore's Son Arrested On Drugs Charges For Third Time; Blames It On Liberal Plot
by librarisingnsf

... The partying 24 year-old has been arrested for the third time (last Sunday) on drug related charges. He was taken to the city jail, and was released on bond of $8,500. But, you see, it's all just a liberal (or, maybe just a gay) plot to destroy his father and his family.

From The New Civil Rights Movement:

... According to court documents, officers responded to the 1200 block of Allen Street in Troy to a report of an attempted home break-in. They found five men, including Moore, outside near a pickup truck that smelled strongly of marijuana.

In 2013 Caleb Moore pleaded guilty to drug-related charges, AL.com notes, and in 2011 "he was arrested and charged with drug possession and driving under the influence."

USA Today adds that Moore "has been charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of a controlled substance, a Class C felony."

From JMG:

Several weeks ago I reported on Caleb Moore's social media posts, prompting him to say this to AL.com: "I've done nothing more than any other college kids. Because of who I am, it gets blown out of proportion. Since then I've got in a closer walk with the Lord. Whatever anyone says about me, it doesn't bother me. The people who know me and know what's true can really see what's going on here and see through critics of my dad."

This is Caleb Moore's third arrest on drug charges. As I noted in my first post about him, tax records appear to indicate that in 2012 he worked part-time for the virulently anti-gay Foundation For Moral Law, which was founded by his father and is now headed by his mother, Kayla Moore.

Per Alabama law, conviction on a Class C felony calls for this prison sentence: "No less than one year and one day and no more than 10 years."

My guess is that he will serve no time in prison.

From Raw Story:

... This is nothing more than a prime example of how media and crooked police officers and critics of my dad try to not only destroy his career for what he stands for but will go as far as trying to destroy his family. I am not a drug user as the drug test taken today will show. As for the malicious possession charges, justice will be served," he wrote.

...

Update 1:

AL.com has published a new article about the young man. From AL.com:

...

Caleb Moore is back in the news after being arrested on Sunday, his seventh arrest in less than four years, including driving under the influence arrests in both Alabama and Florida, and three drug-related arrests in Baldwin, Pike and St. Clair counties in Alabama.

...

One of Moore's vocal critics, gay rights blogger Joe Jervis, ...

...
"It's a case of the sins of the father being visited on the son," Jervis said. "The state's leading moralist has not kept his own house in order."

Because of who I am, it gets blown out of proportion.

He should talk to the hundreds of thousands of non-privileged folks who got thrown in jail after their first or maybe second arrest, and probably get to stay their the maximum 10 year penalty for their class C drug felonies.
