https://www.bostonherald.com/news_opinion/local_coverage/2015/03/george_pataki_obama_acted_illegally_in_trading_prisoners_forSo if the great and all powerful Pataki says Obama broke the law, I guess that settles it. The only question now is if the punishment is execution or life in prison. what time are Roberts and Biden getting together for the swearing in?
What does this has-been idiot think he has any clue on this issue or that anyone gives a shit what he says?

(26,877 posts)Wouldn't the GOP House have called a million investigations over it? AFAIK, that hasn't happened. Pataki's in the throes of ODS.

(21,693 posts)Suppose the Taliban came to us and said... hey, we rounded up 5 guys that were part of the afghan war and killed a bunch of your soldiers. We are willing to give them to you to prosecute/execute as you wish, but in return we want one of your soldiers that committed crimes against our people to do with as we wish.
Do you think Obama should make that trade? Would he be criticized by the GOP if he did?

(13,218 posts)A repiggie charges Obama with a crime we do not hear what law he broke? Here Pataki is saying, he broke the law; he's evern saying he swapped some prisoners; but he does not say what crime he broke.

(20,942 posts)for countless years and possibly subjected to torture. Of course the GOP hasn't tried to run with this argument because
1) no one wants to open the legal can of worms as to the actual legal state of the prisoners in question
2) no one wants to remind people of torture
3) The GOP is afraid of attacking commander and chief powers...
so basically this is a view point held by Pataki that many conservatives disagree with. So good luck with that one.
