and the message can be amplified by us all. We keep demanding that a few do heavy lifting while sitting on the sidelines and lobbing incendiaries when magic doesn't occur. Shoulder your share as I carry mine. Expect of yourself the same and demand of others to meet tha standaed.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Thank you for that!

I'm so used to people calling for someone to run for president when that person shows extraordinary skill in one particularly needed area - even though they likely (or obviously) lack the political skills required for high office - that I get irritated and overreact.

So glad you meant it as a joke - and I strongly agree that we need more people with NdGT's philosophy and temperament in office.

Personally, I think President Obama is probably the best we'll ever see in terms of the combination of intellect/temperament of NdGT and the political savvy/skill of Bill Clinton.

Slick Willy won't be enough to police the Vipers who want to repeal Dodd/Frank , whilst instituting the TPP which President Obama will be remembered for along with FORTIFYING the ' Patriot act '. I voted for him twice , but I hope he's not the " Best we'll ever see " if that's the case , we're screwed .

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]I don't agree with everything Clinton did, either, or everything President Obama has said/done. However, I do recognize their skill as politicians, especially in scenarios where the opposition would have eaten weaker ones alive.

belittled, perhaps even murdered. Decades from now they may get some recognition, but more likely the country will be so bust they will be just trying to survive, much less do better than they used to.

Not exactly a strong case for convincing someone to do what is right and or necessary.

It's the KISS principle applied to human ethics.

Almost everything else, religion especially, is decorative, and frequently in a harmful way.

I've finally been able to share his series with family members who didn't catch the deGrasse Tyson's version of Cosmos this past year.

He is a touchstone to going forward. THAT is the kind of going forward I wish to continue… be still….
