Perhaps this is a correct statement and I'm the one that's out of my mind?

(20,600 posts)anyway, I don't think the world would end if Romney somehow won (which I doubt he could pull off, he is a terrible candidate)
For instance, I don't think he would be as bad as the hurricane of destruction and apocalypse Bush Jr. was. Should I?

(2,514 posts)being as his winning would probably mean loosing the Senate, as well as the Repubs keeping the house.. look for the post office to be history within 2 years, followed by the privatization of social security, and continued privatization of education..
the truly scary thing is the supreme court going from 5-4 to 6-3 or worse.. in short this is probably the most important election of my 65 year old life..

(45,463 posts)Same economic trickle down advisors and neo-con war hawks have signed on with Mitt.
And he has signed every deranged " social issues " pledge out there.
And his first allegiance will be to the Kochs and Grover Norquist.

(22,143 posts)That alone would radically change the country for the worse. We can pile on from there but this one single thing is enough to make a mockery of that statement.
It would be a disaster.

The man is an out of touch elitist. How could he not fuck things up?

(10,237 posts)...yet another "Obama doesn't do exactly what I WANT so he's just like bush" thread. Yawn. It's too bad that these posters don't seem to remember what happened as a result of taking that stance in 2010.
PEACE!

(60,790 posts)There are enough trolls that will recommend a thread like that to try and give it credibility.
None of these single issues non-supporters think of the alternative. All they think of is I didn't get my way on THIS ISSUE alone, so I can't support the candidate.
This poster made several threads similar to the one you link, each stating the same thing and each making it to the greatest pages. That would never have happened a few years ago, the hardliners on this site would have run that poster off.

(34,179 posts)Under Obama and the Dems, it will be a bit slower. Under Romney and the 'Pugs it will be a bit quicker. Either way, we're still going over the edge.
