She loves him and cares for him.

Sometimes your kid does something that scares the shit out of you so bad and so dangerous that you do what you have to do in the moment to get them safe.

They were in the middle of an extremely dangerous situation and she did what she had to do.

I don't blame her one bit. She obviously loves her son and wanted him out of danger.

What she doesn't seem to get is that her son could do nothing, nothing at all except be a young black male, and still "be a Freddie Gray."
