The Mothers Have Something to Say

Sadly, it's "mothers", and not "parents". But I think mothers ache more.

No matter what the issue is, it is usually a "leadership of men" who are on the blue ribbon panels and committees that form any plans of action. Especially in the conversation about race the mothers must be heard. For too long we have relied on academics and sociological models to solve problems when the real solutions are found at the grassroots level.
I doubt there is much consideration given to things like the advice on how to stay safe around the police when white papers are written.
