Remember in 2009-10 when Obama was being accused of plotting to invade Iran?

Whatever happened with that? I can't seem to remember, maybe some folks who had indulged that particular conspiracy theory can remind me how it turned out.

a path to overthrow the USA government.

Sharia Law is going to come here soon under Obama and he is planning on putting all white people who are not cooperative in internment camps.

But it's starting to look like they have imported their own cheering squad to keep on feeding their huge egos.

I can remember when a new poster would start out trashing the president, or the party in general, and they would be lucky to last the week before getting the boot. Now they come in, join in the "bashing" by our resident bashers, and they get welcomed with open arms. If the do get alerted on, the odds are enough of the resident bashers are on the jury so nothing happens to them. They just keep on recing and bashing.

And tablets. And Kindles! In addition to the laptops, and old school PCs.

A lot of these "people" are just one person. Sometimes, they get confused and trip themselves up. Wish there was a way the admins could get a handle on that. It would help the whole discussion process enormously. It's really getting "under-the-bridge" style here, in some threads.

When the "hate" threads rack up over 100, sometimes up to 200 recs, and other posts that are actually worth recing get far less, something fishy is happening. I too have wondered about the legtimasy of all those recs when some shit stirrer comes in, posts a thread with little or not actually meaning, then never bothers to come back and actually discuss their post, yet still gets 100's or recs. I know what you mean about "under-the-bridge" style threads,

People going around spewing bigoted conspiracy theories and lies, claiming it's on behalf of progressive principles they directly undermine.

And they don't even have the cynical excuse of being in politics - they're just random people who act like that because they enjoy it.

Impressionable or less experienced people see that crazy shit and think that's what progressives are about, and it really damages our credibility.
