Cruz had to apologize before, Comparing his long speech to "Bataan Death March" 9/30/13

That was also supposed to be a "joke"
So it is not the first time he said a totally inappropriate remark, as a "joke"

He apologized to Filipino Vets for making that statement. Apology took place on 9/30/13..

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) has apologized, on video, to Filipino World War II veterans for comparing his 21-hour speech to the Bataan Death March.

"Let me say to each of you: I apologize for causing offense," Cruz said in a meeting with Filipino veterans, video of which was posted to YouTube on Tuesday. "I should not have said what I did."

Cruz then explained that he didn't mean to compare his effort to the ordeal of those who suffered and died during the Bataan Death March, a war crime in which thousands of Filipino and American troops died while being marched to a prison camp by the Japanese.

2. He thinks he is smart, and others think he is smart too.

He is an insensitive asshole as many have said here. Just put this up because the "Biden joke" was not his first walk into the so called, "totally insensitive joke" arena. He sure didn't learn from the first time..(at least that I could find) I suspect there were others too that I didn't know about..
