Racial Justice/Civil Rights vs. Economic Justice and Hillary Clinton vs. Bernie Sanders

How tightly connected are these issues in how they are discussed at DU right now? I know that in an absolute sense they are completely separate issues, but that doesn't exclude the passions aroused by a discussion of one might inflame a discussion of the other (or alternatively, they are totally different issues to you and don't have any connection).

I can say why they are interconnected, but it is the same thing that has been said over and over and over here.
