IMO, there are times when I think GD should have a timeout, like no posting for 48hrs.

Sort of you can read but not scream. Like right now we are 400 days from the conventions and the official naming of a candidate. Also our leading candidates are pushing senior citizen status and possible health problems.

This fevered activity right now is way too early.

Will we be in WWIII, will California be an island, will an earthquake split the continent in half,

I'm 75 and planning to go out for the fireworks on the 4th of July, that is long range planning.

I suppose it is a consequence of years of pent-up frustration, but it bothers me that in a time when we could be having reasoned discussions about the goals of the party, some of us prefer to engage in name-calling and discussions of personalities.

The more ardent contributors would have two whole days for their grievances to fester and to think about and write their rants; and when the time-out was up we might see a flood of very long, very angry screeds.
