It's a way to deceive people, influence their judgement. It's marketing, selling shitty used cars to unsuspecting rubes.

Because that burger and fries at the golden arches is very little except corn and chemicals, dressed up to smell like what you would expect. And not good for you at all.

Like a confederate flag. Or certain politicians.

If your product was worth a shit you wouldn't have to sell them on it.
