(25,270 posts)As Lanny was trying to defend Hillary - things got a bit heated.
The only kind of negative that came out of this discussion was Johnathan Alter saying that Bernie is to the right of Hillary on gun control.
He went on to say that some distrust is creeping in with Hillary and that Bernie has essentially been straight shooting and telling it like it is and not ducking, evading and talking around a question without giving a direct answer like other candidates (meaning Hillary).

(41,171 posts)whopper. I saw J. Alter on gun control, it's all corporate run, planned. A terrific segment esp. the beginning with all the attendees at Bernie's events saying how great he and his message are!
Feel the Bern!

(5,066 posts)what do you call yourself then since i was one posted about shuting off since i couldn't stomach the BS from Panelists.
Of course you want to dismiss the massive crowds bernie is getting.
When Lanny davis is cheerleading for your side that says a lot.

(13,069 posts)the last election. I have not watched him since. So much for progressive.

(15,435 posts)Those crowds were a beautiful sight. Whether he actually DOES manage to get the nomination there is NO DOUBT that people are WAKING UP to reality!! Sick and tired of being SICK & TIRED. I ordered bumper stickers and shirts from BernieSanders.com and ALL the shirts are on BACK ORDER. And this was at least 2 weeks ago. They must have been unable to handle the demand because when I ordered I didn't get the "back order" message. Must say something GOOD is happening IMO.
I'm sure there will be a great deal of PUSH BACK coming which is why I have some reservation about him getting the nomination. He's up against a WALL OF MONEY that will do WHATEVER is needed. And yes, the big money Democrats WILL do BAD THINGS!
I'm doing all I can to keep his name out there, but what I'm finding is that sooooooo many people already know who he is and what he stands for. I'm not having to do a hard sell!
BTW, Lanny Davis has ALWAYS made me very uncomfortable, he's very, very much DLC and now all of a sudden he's talking "Hillary Has Always Been Left Leaning!" Haven't heard him talk that way in the past!
GO BERNIE!!!

(41,171 posts)surprising. As reported he's rising among workers, women, old, young- all! Agree it was a great piece. Lannie was really struggling, almost felt bad for him trying to cram in all the bull, esp. the whopper about Hill's anti-TPP position and (new found) progressivism!
Feel the Bern! Do Not underestimate Bernie Sanders! as Howard Dean said on MSNBC Morning Joke earlier today.

(15,435 posts)cannot make myself even look at him. Thankfully I can still afford my DISH and watch FSTV! DISH doesn't want me to drop them so they keep giving me a really great rate. Been with them since 2000 and so far they appreciate me.
I know Dean supports Hillary, but have noticed his tone on Bernie is getting more supportive. Would be great to see him give Bernie a boost and switch, after all he was once where Bernie is now.
Keeping my fingers crossed that this movement gets BIGGER & BIGGER!!

(41,171 posts)and excitement; it was all very positive. Bernie's wonderful style, qualities and abilities are well known to Dr. Dean for over 40 years as he proudly said. Yes Dean's behind Hill, no surprise. It's remarkable how he's maneuvered through many of the DLC's games in the last 10 years yet remains a very committed if less visible Dem. And so intelligent and personable as I saw from meeting him twice at events around DC.
